На английском лень писать было) My first message: these fade-outs appear throughout the entire video and they're really harsh on the eyes. Without them, it would've had a much warmer, cozier video with authentic, chill vibe.
Yes, any effect is good, even splitting an episode with the "s" key in Sony Vegas.
