The Mixed Reality 2023 contest is a general-themed contest with no restrictions on the genre or subject, but in order to diversify and make the contest more interesting, we offer an additional experimental nomination - a video created using AI.

Each participant who wants to be nominated for the best use of AI must submit the making of or describe in detail the technologies used and the AI part in total must exceed more than 30% of the clip.

Let us remind you that only exclusive videos are eligible for this contest (i.e it's forbidden to release your video anywhere on the internet before it is shown at Mixed Reality 2023). Registration is opened till the submission deadline. You can register via on-line form; the account at AMVNews is required for registration. Entries accepted July 1st till October 1st, 2023. Prizes are reserved for winners.

7 contest participants whose videos are nominated in at least one category and 6 members of specially selected jury are eligible for voting in the finals. Voting in second round is obligatory for contestants. If a contestant fails to vote in the category where his/her video is nominated, then the total amount of points that this video gets shall be decreased by a maximum number of points possible for this category. It can affect final rating substantially. You must fill in all slots when filling in the voting form. Voting deadline is June 16th, 15.00 Moscow time (UTC+3)

Big Contest 2023 first round voting is over. 38 persons took part in the voting, 28 videos passed to the second round in main nomination. To pass to the finals a video should have gathered no less than 6 votes. Details about second tour voting will be available soon. We begin first round voting of AMVNews: Big Contest 2023. 56 videos took part in the contest. 6 contest videos rated lower than 2.7 points were excluded from voting. All 38 contest participants whose AMVs are eligible for the first round can take part in the voting now, as well as 13 jury members. Voting in first round is totally voluntary.
There are 15 contest nominations to vote in. Some of those include all videos, others include only the videos which match the nomination thematically. Finalists in each nomination will be chosen during first round voting. First round voting ends June 10th, 15-00 Moscow time (UTC+3). Link for voting form can be found in "Authorization" block, right upper corner of the webpage. You can fill in the form, add and change anything as much as you want till the end of voting period. Contest participants and co-authors do not see their own videos in the list and can't vote for them.

The 2023 Viewer's Choice Awards is announced! For many years it has been the largest online contest of the kind. Аny video released in 2022 is eligible for participation, as long as it can be watched online. Videos will be nominated by both audience and jury, and anyone can vote for the nominees.

VCA Schedule 

AMVNews.ru announces the annual spring AMV competition - Big Contest 2024. We welcome creators from all over the world to join us with any kind of AMVs. Remember that contest entries should be exclusive, i.e the contest video can't be released online before the premiere at AMVNews. Participants can register via on-line form, registration is opened till the submission deadline for those who have the site account. Videos can be submitted from February 1st till April 15th, 2024. This year we have rule which allows to use any animation and send 2 individual videos.

1 place – 5000 roubles + statuette 
2 place – 4000 roubles + statuette 
3 place – 3000 roubles + statuette 
4 place – 2000 roubles + statuette 
5 place – 1000 roubles + statuette

We have the contest rules translated to several languages. We used last years' translations made by community volunteers with some minor changes so if you find any mistakes in any of the rules please let us know. Also, if you are a foreign creator and are willing to help us with more translations please write a PM to Turbo or okhostok. AMVNews won't forget you! )
