To begin, I don't want you to look at this clip as a AMV but more like if you were watching a movie and listen to his story, hence the interest of cuts/ellipse and the framing of scenes that I worked ( and I really insist on that ) and that is probably why you find that its linear (but all plans are there for the thread and you can just by looking at the plans what he is doing precisely and that's normal if its look linear, it's a STORY). It's true that it's special for me to do this, but it is mostly an artistic point of view than creative that I made this AMV.
You really need to look the AMV as a spectator, as if you were looking a silent film of 1920 (btw even film from 1920 had music...). The music and anime are not related but which is just for the ambience. For the lyrics of the music should not take it at first degrees but you should tell you that it is really what a person in depression can think and therefore the main character thinks. There is a real paradox between what he says and what he does, as if he couldn't be resonated. My AMV beyond all of this, is "weak" technically but more deep in his "artistic" side, after that depends for who it pleases or not.

I loved the way you portrayed the story, it's pretty clear and the scenes create a mood that matches the concept (and it's nice-looking), it made me think about all the days I feel like shit and such, this became one of my favorite videos of the year.

Haha there is a difference between how the depression feels and what depression can make you do. So nope, i didn't had the same situation as the character did in my AMV.

Being in depression doesn't mean that someone gonna spend the day by doing nothing and crying. There is so many alternative in depression, like in my AMV with the character lost all he loves (like his family) and he is turning into the delinquancy. When you turn into schizophrenia there is positive signs like delusions and hallucinations, but he have not this on my AMV. I didn't wanted to put empathy on the character, this is a story of a man into depression. The end is maybe an unorignal cliché of the angelic girl, but if you were in depression you could understand that you need help from someone to get out of this shit. Maybe its cliché but its fucking true. After i make the AMV based on the episode 7 of Charlotte, if you want to understand the character and his depression you should watch it, maybe that's why you have this conclusion. Peace :)

I don't understand how are we supposed to have empathy towards this character.
You show us a good minute of him acting like the cruelest sadist (whether it's supposed to be just his immagination or not doesn't really matter) , then the old unoriginal clichè of the angelic girl that will save him from himself happens and he switches back to being normal.

I bet the show handles this in a poor way already. But at least they have a lot of time to make you digest these changes in his behaviour.
Here we have 2 minutes of him completely switching personality. the idea I get from this is that his issue is not depression, but schizofrenia

Трек классный, но на дух не переношу всех этих "типа_псих"-школьников. Наверное поэтому я все ещё не посмотрел Шарлотту, потому что мне её проспойлерили. А, в любом случае, трек классный, напоминает Кендрика Ламара. Не знаю почему, но напоминает. У него там тоже был трек про потерю близкого человека и депрессию.

Случайно получилось, что я начал смотреть с отключенным звуком.

Радостно улыбающаяся девочка на фото тычет пальцами в лицо в окружении красивых белых цветочков. По бокам расплывается псевдо-3D.
Парень сидит и в отупении смотрит в никуда . Женщина опускает руку ему на плечо и тихо говорит "ну что тебе стоит..." В застывших глазах парня читается "Как же ты меня достала со своим пойдём погуляем, зараза"... По лицу парня протекают струйки воды от дождя, капающего через крышу.
Бомжует и сидит под веществами.
Бомжует и катается на поездах.
Деньги кончаются... тяжела жизнь бродяги ...
В мусорных баках находятся пачки непонятных таблеток, автомат и куча патронов.
Жизнь налаживается !
Патроны заканчиваются...
Таблетки и отвёртка - сила !
Зачистка территории от бомжей и цыкающей сквозь зубы школоты, выход на поставщиков таблеток, грабежи. Хорошие таблетки стоят денег
Что-то шепчет в голове: "переходи на смартфоны!" ...
Внезапная встреча с какой-то светящейся девчонкой в ночи, удар ногой в голову со словами:
- ПРИВЕТ ВАСЯ, НАКОНЕЦ-ТО Я ТЕБЯ НАШЛА
- ЛЕНА, ТЫ
- ЛЕНА, ПОЧЕМУ ТЫ СВЕТИШЬСЯ ?!
- Потому что таблетками развлекаются только неудачники! Я же говорила тебе - пойдём в Зону, погуляем! И нет там никакой радиации, ты всё врал !
... по лицу парня начинают катиться слёзы ... он тихо шепчет "опять... опять... опять..."

Выглядит как краткое содержание какой-то одной серии(я исходник не смотрел) Совсем не к месту хлопорты в конце. И смотрится в целом как-то слабовато.
P.S.При просмотре почему-то окошко как при 4:3 хотя видео широкоформатное
