Eake4 (Novice): Personally I believe Shinnie04 is one of the greatest editors of all time and I feel honoured to have worked on a project with him. Over the time we discussed through some concepts and the video features multilayered concepts which is viewed differently with individual audiences. Although we had to risk editing Shinnie's imagination has helped incredibly in the making of the AMV. I'm incredibly thankful for Shinnie to take his time to be my Pro.

Shinnie04 (Pro): Working on this AMV was somewhat of a risk but this was not at all due to Eake, as his skills and talents can be easily seen through the video. Personally I was very busy and short on time and I tried my best to provide enough feedback and advice. He has exceeded my expectations and although things felt rushed, it was truly fun and I look forward to the many more AMVs he has yet to make.

Слушать музыку Виены Тенг - все равно что знакомиться с таинственным незнакомцем. Первая встреча приятна, но узнать удается немного. Ты заинтригован и возвращаешься снова и снова, каждый раз узнавая что-то новое, более сложное. Песня открывается тебе слой за слоем, строка за строкой. И вот когда тебе кажется, что ты точно все понял, ты видишь живое выступление Виены, смотришь, слышишь, осознаешь - и песня снова преображается.
В клипе мне хотелось воссоздать эту таинственность. Песня рассказывает о многих ярких моментах, но не раскрывает контекст, и точно так же мне хотелось поступить с историей - преподнести набросок, не давая ответа на все вопросы.

Как-то я посмотрел работу NightPunisher'а "The place between sleep and awake" и решил сделать какой-нибудь необычный клип на  FF8. Примерно в то же время я слушал песню Beloved группы VNV Nation, размышлял над словами и решил переиграть оригинальную историю FF8 в подобном стиле. В ходе работы над клипом первоначальный замысел сильно изменился, каждый раз, как только я начинал работу, приходили новые идеи. Я и сам не знал, к чему все идет, поэтому просто дал себе волю, и вышло то, что вышло.

This video tells the story of 3 friends united by karuta, but soon separated as they grow up. Now in high school, Chihaya continues to play karuta and hoping that she will meet her friends again, hopefully sooner than later.
I would also like to thank all the people who have convinced me to finish and submit this video, despite of all the excuses I tried to get away with.

Hello. Almost two years ago part of this AMV was made for anime music video mix for AMVAZAR 2010 contest, but it was not very successful, in the end never really liked it and all this time was thinking to finish my favorite part of mix like independent AMV. So, time have come.
Tried to make some radical changes in timing and visualizations, but in the end it was not looking the same good and natural and was moving more back-wards, so I kept first part of AMV almost unchanged. In few words I can describe this amv like: Illusion of life. Love is nothing but a fleeting illusion. A rose-colored campus life, is, after all, nothing more than an illusory dream.
