This is my entry for the Abunai! 2023 local AMV competition. At first I was planning to create a much more high concept edit for the competition, but due to its ballooning size not much came of it. But still I wanted to enter with something that I personally quite enjoy, so inspired by a guilty pleasure AMV of mine ( Taiho Shichau zo AMV (Cheri Cheri Lady - Modern Talking) ) I wanted to take my own spin on a "You're Under Arrest" montage and ended creating another retro anime edit.
I came to the conclusion that my previous retro AMV with Heidi could be a boring watch for the average viewer, so combined with an Italo Disco banger I've made the edit more energetic this time around. And also tried to direct more high and low points throughout the video. Either way I hope you can enjoy this AMV.
I believe this is also the first edit that I've specifically used AI and other methods for upscaling instead of just Avisynth scripting. (Which was quite needed since the original source is a 480p DVD rip)
